Dr. Weisenbach began his theological career as a student at NYTS in 1966. In 1969, just  as he was to graduate the newly elected seminary president, George (Bill) Webber asked if he would stay on as the Assistant to the President while continuing his graduate work. That began a twenty-four year relationship with the seminary where Dr. Weisenbach served as a faculty member, Vice President, and ultimately, Academic Vice President.

In 1993 Dr. Weisenbach left the seminary as he says, “to see if I could do what I taught,” and for the next twenty years pastored two Presbyterian congregations in the Hudson Valley. He retired as the Senior Pastor of the Katonah Presbyterian Church in 2015 and lives with his wife in Harlem.
