The Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) is an advanced degree for clergy and lay leaders with ministry experience who desire to deepen the spiritual resources from which they draw to serve their communities. The program focuses on sharpening the skills students already possess in order to enhance their knowledge and skills in specialized areas of ministry. The skills and knowledge they learn provide a significant impact on the communities they serve. This practice-oriented degree will equip ministers to bring about personal and social transformation in their vocational calling, special for those called to serve in a multicultural, global, and urbanizing world. In cohorts of eight to fifteen ministers, students meet for short periods over two years and enhanced their learning through on-line education.
Areas of Focus

The Doctor of Ministry offers students an opportunity to specialize in an area of study and become experts in that field. Graduates are able to lead and serve in a more fruitful manner. Many graduates also find new opportunities, such as teaching or executive leadership, after the completion of their degree.
Candidates must have an MDiv degree from an institution accredited by ATS, or a graduate theological degree outside North America that meets ATS standards. We may also consider the educational equivalent of an accredited MDiv degree.
